The Knife has no intention of reading Tony Blair’s dubious thoughts on anything, in any detail, but is happy to admit to cherrypicking reviews/comment pieces etc, by far the best of which, so far, is that by Jeff Randall, a yeoman of economic journalism for many years, and very funny to boot.
However, Fraser Nelson’s initial thoughts contain the line which in its infinite nuances sums up Blair, his regime and his book. With respect to the dreaded Bono :
‘He could have been a president or a prime minister standing on his head.’
It says it all, really.
